A thought struck me whilst laid in bed (steady now! it’s not that kind of blog) doing a damn fine impression of an insomniac.
The thought was this, why do we live in a world where the differences between us (as human beings and citizens of the global community) are more important than the things that we have in common?
 Surely the world would be a much more peaceful sort of place if ,whilst celebrating our individuality, we also take in to account our similarities?
2006 would not have been such a memorable year without the following people/things/events……. so here’s to
Good Bosses (& the bad ones that help you appreciate them), Pizza’s (Ron&Irwin), Karma car parking, Dale (for not using his his Who ticket), Ian (for sleeping on the floor and creating some Morgan folklore), Scott & Rick (my oldest friends), Pecker, Tim & Dave (my newest friends),Rob&Ricky (for living the dream – long live Moorzart), guitars,down tuning, Iron Maiden&Trivium (for the best gig of my life so far),Robbie (for keeping Su happy) The Levellers (for always putting on a damn fine show), Shaun (for being oh so wrong), Evilbeard, CGP (for the PGC shirt amongst other things), Kirky for suffering me, Counselling (thanks Sue), Headbanging, Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, The Deftones, Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Satyricon, Opeth…………), Metal Hammer (for defending the faith), Jurgen for making me laugh, Cats (the mad one and the mysanthropic one), pirate fish tanks, good docs and bad docs (you can’t apprecaite one without the other), Chinese iron balls, Red Dwarf DVD’s, sock ninjas, this blog, the bigger picture&the smaller picture, patience, books (His Dark Materials, The Green Mile, This Monster Lives,………..), Old films (well old but not vintage), new films, spelling mistakes, daylight lamps, sleeping, midnight shopping, third kings (round tha back), new phones,the post pub two pints&a packet of crisps ritual,Good TV (Brainiac, Prison Break,Futurama….), rituals, freedom,norse gods&northern european wisdom,runes and all the people&things that I have forgotten to mention, all the clan (those we see alot of and those we don’t) but especially Nanna (90! & still thrashing me at doms), Bob (for making this possible), Robin (for proving that no matter how capable you are there is always someone younger. taller and better than you) & Tom&Dez (the best cousin&girlfriend combo in the world, the best of freinds and the greatest house guests you could ever had), ………………
 And most importantly the three most important poeple in my life – Owen&Morgan (for being the coolest sons you could wish for & a source of brilliance & joy)& Su (for 11 years of bliss [10 of 'em married], loving me completely and being my soulmate) – you are my family, the heart of my life and you make everything&anything possible -
I LOVE YOU!
