Zombies -The future?

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

Having recently read both The Zombie Survival Guide (Cheers T&D) and World War Z by Max Brooks I am convinced that of all the possible ‘horror movie coming to reality’ scenarios this is the most likely.
Tom&Dez have held this opinion for a while  and I can only agree with them.
The alternative near future ‘history’ that Max describes in World War Z is all too possible considering the way that the modern world handles things at the moment and what’s all the more scary is the fact that it could all be happening right now and we’d know nothing about it before it is too late!
Apart from being fun both these books highlight the fragility of modern society and invites you too look at the world around you in a different light.
Read the books – not only are they fantastic but they might save your life!
I have included a link on this site to the World War Z blog.

Or Happy St. Davids Day for those of you who don’t speak welsh.

Here I sit , on the day that groups of my fellow countrymen swarm around the nation terrifying strangers with their close harmony singing, contemplating the month ahead.
It looks like being a damn good one! This month I’m taking my eldest son Owen to his first gig, My Chemical Romance at the MEN Arena, which promises to be a fantastic father/son experience. I’m not into all the tree hugging philosophies of parenthood but it’s bloody important to do cool things with you kids becuase upon these foundations a life will be built so I want them to be the best smeggin’ foundations you can get!!!!

Whilst I’m on about music there’s two things that have excited me recently (apart from learning the intro to Seasons in the Abyss on my Guitar?!?!).
The first is Engel  – excellent sounding metal for Scandanavia – can’t wait for an album from these guys (check out Casket Clothing – it rocks!)
The second is the teasers of Machine Heads new stuff – follow this link to hear it.

And now something that made me smile -101 rules of Folk Metal.

More coming soon…………………..
