Thanks ITV – Guinness Premiership on ‘normal’ tv.

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Found out today that there is going to be a new Guinness Premiership highlights program on ITV this season. The new show will be a  hour-long weekly Guinness Premiership highlights show on ITV 4 at 18.30 on Sunday evenings, covering all 22 rounds of the new season, the Guinness Premiership semi-final and final. The show will be hosted by Craig Doyle will be repeated on ITV1 on Tuesday nights (probably in the wee small hours but it’s better than nothing).

I know it’s hardly ground breaking news but I have been waiting for something like this since the beeb let Rugby Special go the way of the occasional, randomly scheduled show.

Hours before midnight.

Monday, August 18th, 2008

A member of my extended family shared a piece of wisdom with me the other day that got me thinking.
The piece of wisdom was related to sleep and went as follows:
“Every hour you can get before midnight does you more good than every hour you get after midnight.”

Now what struck me is this.
The hour that runs from 00:00 to 01:00 hours of day is technically before the next midnight – therefore, applying the above sayings logic, it doesn’t matter when the feck you sleep just so long as you do!

Or am I missing the point?!?!?!?!
