The results from a survey conducted by Theos are very interesting. They show that the British Public hold many contrasting opinions about Darwin’s theory of evolution and Biblical creation.
What made me think more than anything is the comment quoted at the end by Darwin himself, basically saying that he saw no reason why the Scientific and Religious camps could not get on when discussing the two points of view.
Something people could do with remembering these days, I think.

A few weeks ago I published a post on this blog that was far from complementary about faith schools in general following an article in my local paper, the Telegraph & Argus.
Today I have read a follow up article, here, and I have to admit to my ignorance as to the actual set up of one of the schools and apologise for any insult caused by my comments.
I sincerely hope that all Faith schools are run in such a way to ensure that pupils still get a rounded view of the world regardless of the religious nature of the establishment.
