I have come across this thing called ‘Mindfulness’ whilst looking into methods to help me manage my OCD.
Basically (and I do mean basically) it is all about allowing yourself to be aware of the present moment, without thinking about the past or the future.
It has it’s roots in Buddism and is a well researched method of improving your mental health and concentration.
The guys at Bangor University have an excellent site with more details on this.
I have been giving it a try and it works really well (not a silver bullet but good) and I recommend that you give it a try (even if you’ve no OCD type problems you might find it cool).
